Being educated about alcohol
Teenage energy cannot be hindered by any situation. Parties are often part of their usual activities. They say, it is a stress-reliever, a good chance to escape from the reality and pressure. However, partying is usually associated with drinking alcoholic beverages and would almost often lead to intoxication.
Alcohol in teenagers is very alarming. It is a plague that greatly invades the society of New Zealand as a whole most especially to the youth. Most reason for teenage binge drinking usually is to have a great time amidst life imperfections, but with the number of the teenagers engaged on this, which is very alarming, educating them about alcohol is necessary.
The Council of Alcohol Advisory says that drinking can be compared to our obsession to sports. It is a habit which is our culture has embedded. It is also said that alcohol toxicity of the youth occurs because of exposure to people using alcohol just to get loose. Parents play a great role in their children’s behavior. They are supposed to be the role model. With this, teenagers would tend to follow their drinking habits on their parents as well as to people they look up to such as what they see in the movies. It is very illogical when parents are alcoholic drinkers but do not want their children to drink. That is why, taking alcohol entails a full responsibility and change should start at home.
